Fortuna Sittard is a Dutch football club based in the city of Sittard. The club was founded in 1968 and currently plays in the Dutch Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch football. Feyenoord, on the other hand, is a professional football club from Rotterdam, also playing in the Eredivisie.
The two teams have played against each other a number of times over the years. In the 2019-2020 Eredivisie season, the two teams played each other twice. The first match took place in December 2019, with Feyenoord winning 2-1, and the second match took place in February 2020, with Feyenoord winning 1-0. Overall, Feyenoord has been the more successful of the two teams, having won multiple Eredivisie titles, KNVB Cups and the UEFA Cup.
Fortuna Sittard has had a mixed history in Dutch football, with many years spent in the lower leagues.
